Nicholas Petumenos is the creative force and leader of this group. As the singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist for this group, he merges jazz, rock, funk, and Americana into an inspiring musical journey.
Anchorage Jazz Ensemble
Musical Director and lead tenor, Jeff Brayfield, wrangles Anchorage’s longest standing big band (est. 1987). As a traditional 18-piece big band their 400+ song repertoire means they can play new modern compositions and the greatest big band classics.
This group has a fun, upbeat Caribbean Island flavor to it. It is great for concerts and Latin theme parties. It features original music and fresh arrangements of popular Brazilian, Afro-Cuban, Trinidadian, and Puerto Rican songs.
